Interstate 95 southbound near Exit 126 in Spotsylvania will experience lane closures from Sunday to Saturday, 7 p.m. to 10 a.m., for ramp widening and additional right turn lane construction to Route 1. In Fredericksburg, Wellford Street will have one-way traffic controlled by flaggers from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., due to waterline work.

Caroline County will see single lane closures on Route 2/Route 301 as crews install raised pavement markers during weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Essex County's Route 360 between King and Queen County line and Gordon Mill Road will face similar closures for the same reason.

King George County’s Ridge Road will undergo guardrail work with flaggers directing traffic near Rollins Boulevard on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meanwhile, bridge repairs are scheduled on Route 218 at the railroad tracks near Route 206.

In Lancaster County, guardrail work is set for eastbound Route 3 near Route 819 with flagging operations guiding drivers through the area Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Spotsylvania Parkway’s ongoing project includes installing a rectangular rapid flashing beacon between two subdivisions along Southpoint Parkway, requiring alternating single lane closures during specified times throughout the week.

Stafford County's Berea Church Road remains closed from Berea Knolls Drive due to improvement projects while intermittent right lane closures occur on Routes 17 Northbound and Southbound for fiber installation.

Additionally, various long-term projects continue across multiple counties including bridge replacements and road widening efforts aiming for completion dates stretching into late summer of upcoming years.

"Intersection improvement projects are underway on Route 1 at the intersections with Fall Hill Avenue and Princess Anne Street/Hanson Avenue," states an update concerning Fredericksburg infrastructure development initiatives expected to conclude by June of next year.

The George Washington Regional Commission encourages commuters in the region seeking ridesharing opportunities via GWRideConnect's services available online or through their contact number provided in this alert.
