The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is inviting feedback on a study assessing potential improvements along Hoadly Road in Prince William. The STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study focuses on safety, operational, transit, and bicycle/pedestrian enhancements between Route 234 and Prince William Parkway.

Hoadly Road sees an average of 25,000 vehicles daily and has a posted speed limit of 50 mph. Residents and travelers are encouraged to participate in an online survey to help prioritize corridor improvements. The collected feedback will inform the development of alternatives that will be evaluated and presented for further public comment later this year.

The survey includes a translation tool for Spanish and other languages and remains open until March 4. Comments can also be sent via email to meetingcomments@vdot.virginia.gov with “Hoadly Road STARS Study” as the subject or mailed to Ms. Xiao Cui at VDOT's Fairfax office by the same deadline.

The completion of the study is anticipated by mid-2026. It aims to develop proposed improvements that localities can pursue for funding but does not establish construction dates.
