Rams victorious on Senior Day

Bluefield College Athletics issued the following announcement on Oct. 23

 The Bluefield University beat Johnson University 3-1 in the Rams final home game of the 2021 season Saturday morning at the Dome Gymnasium, 25-16, 25-21, 26-28, 25-21.

BU celebrated Senior Day with a pregame ceremony recognizing five young ladies who have dedicated their time, effort, and skills to the program: Kassidy Brown, Gabby Courtney, Leslie Flores, Adrianah Grajeda, and Aubri Whatcott.

Whatcott had 49 assists, with Lauren Sotomayor had 23 kills and Flores added 21. Carly Connor led the defense with eight blocks and Georgia Lewis finished with 23 digs, Flores 19, and Brown 14 .

The BU Rams are now 13-4 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference and 17-9 overall. The Rams will be traveling to Montreat College on Tuesday for their next match.
