Weather permitting, Shelburne Glebe Road in Leesburg, Virginia, will be closed to through traffic on April 21 and 22, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day, for road work. The Virginia Department of Transportation announced that closures are also scheduled for April 23 and 24, provided conditions remain favorable.
Residents needing access to properties along Shelburne Glebe Road will have entry, while Oakland Green Road from Forest Mills Road eastward will remain accessible only to local traffic.
The designated detour for through traffic involves North Fork Road, Lincoln Road, and Forest Mills Road, returning drivers to Shelburne Glebe Road.
Both drivers and bicyclists should exercise caution when navigating active work zones. The department advises being extra alert to new traffic patterns and reducing distractions.
