The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced a planned closure of a section of Route 2063, also known as Alfaree Road, in Chesterfield. The closure is scheduled for March 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. This temporary shutdown is necessary to facilitate the replacement of a crossline pipe near the intersection with Route 637, Hopkins Road.
During the project, homeowners will still have access to their properties. Detours have been arranged for both northbound and southbound traffic. Northbound drivers will be directed south on Alfaree Road east to Verlinda Drive south, then to Cole Mill Road east, Vista Ridge Lane east, and finally Old Cannon Road. Southbound drivers will follow Old Cannon Road west to Vista Ridge Lane north, then Cole Mill Road west, Verlinda Drive north, and back onto Alfaree Road.
For further information or questions about this project, VDOT encourages residents to contact their customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
