The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is inviting public input on a survey related to the King Mill Pike area in Bristol. The survey will be available from February 21 to March 7, 2025, and can be accessed online.

This initiative is part of a study launched this year focusing on several key aspects, including business access, turn-lane enhancements, traffic signal coordination, intersection upgrades, pedestrian connectivity, and other measures aimed at improving safety and alleviating congestion.

The study falls under the STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) Program. This program seeks to develop comprehensive and innovative multimodal transportation solutions to tackle congestion and safety challenges across the Commonwealth.

Interested citizens can review study information and participate in the survey by visiting the specified VDOT website. Additionally, comments can be mailed to Mr. Blake Ailor, Bristol District Planner at 2111 Bonham Road, Bristol, Virginia 24201 or emailed to Blake.Ailor@vdot.virginia.gov with “King Mill Pike STARS Study” as the email subject line.
