Lane closures and traffic stoppages will continue on northbound I-495 in Virginia from February 17 through March 1. These disruptions, occurring overnight between Route 7 and north of the Dulles Toll Road, are necessary for ongoing work on a new 495 Express Lanes ramp at the I-495 and Dulles Corridor Interchange.
The closures will take place nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., excluding Sunday, February 23. Additionally, the ramp from eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Highway (Route 267) to northbound I-495 will be closed during these hours.
Drivers affected by this closure should follow the posted detour: exit onto I-495 South using Exit 18A to Richmond, take Exit 46B for Route 123/Chain Bridge Road North, then merge onto I-495 North.
If inclement weather or other delays occur, the schedule may change. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and anticipate possible delays when traveling through this area.
