Ferrum Men 13th at Roanoke Invitational
Ferrum College's men's cross country team competed Friday, October 14, at the Roanoke College Invitational, held at Green Hill Park. The Panthers placed 13th of 17 teams.
THE BASICS
Radford, an NCAA Division I school, won the team title with 42 points. Roanoke (98) and Bob Jones University (114) finished second and then, then Southern Virginia University (122) and Fayetteville State University (140) rounded out the top five schools. Ferrum was 13th with a team score of 326.
Dylan May of Southern Virginia won the individual tile, covering the 8K course in a time of 24:24.2, beating runner-up Hilary Toroitich of Fayetteville State by almost five seconds. Ferrum's top runner was Clayton Stanford, who finished 58th in a field of 146 runners at 28:51.
