Fox Run Road closure announced for pipe project in Chesterfield

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is set to close a section of Route 2838, known as Fox Run Road, in Chesterfield for a crossline pipe replacement project. The closure is planned to take place near 9342 Fox Run Road on April 17, starting at 8 a.m. and concluding at 2:30 p.m., pending weather conditions.

Residents residing along the affected stretch will still be able to access their homes during the operation.

Motorists are advised to follow designated detours. Northbound traffic should proceed west on Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive), head north on Route 2839 (Edington Drive), turn east to Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive), and then south to Route 2838 (Fox Run Drive). Southbound motorists should travel north on Route 2838 (Fox Run Drive), go west to Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive), head south on Route 2839 (Edington Drive), and then east to Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive).

VDOT encourages individuals with inquiries about the project to contact their customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623). Updated traffic information can be accessed on 511Virginia at 511.vdot.virginia.gov, or through the free 511Virginia app designed for mobile devices.
