Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) plans to close the left travel lane on the Varina Enon Bridge on Interstate 295 southbound starting Monday, March 10. The closure will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, to facilitate ongoing bridge maintenance. This lane closure will be reinstated overnight on Tuesday, March 11, and is expected to remain in place for approximately four months.
In contrast, the existing left lane closure on I-295 northbound is scheduled to be lifted overnight on Tuesday, March 11. The northbound lane will reopen for traffic by Wednesday, March 12.
