Route 3, also known as Windsor Road, has been closed in Mathews County. The closure affects the section between Route 14 (John Clayton Memorial Highway) and Route 198 due to multiple downed trees.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is addressing reports of fallen trees and debris caused by strong winds in parts of the Middle Peninsula. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this time.

VDOT encourages reporting road hazards on state-maintained routes through their Customer Service Center, available 24 hours a day at 800-FOR-ROAD (367-7623) or online at my.vdot.virginia.gov. Additionally, road conditions can be checked on 511Virginia at 511.vdot.virginia.gov.
