The Fredericksburg District has announced its weekly traffic alert for February 16-22, 2025. Various roadworks and construction projects are scheduled across multiple counties, which may impact travel in the area.

On Interstate 95 Southbound, mobile single lane and shoulder closures will occur between mile markers 136 and 134 from Sunday to Monday, between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., as crews inspect overhead sign structures.

In Caroline County, pavement marking eradication will take place from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with alternating lane closures along Route 17 near Route 301 and Hazelwood Lane, as well as Route 301 near Mattaponi Bridge and O'Brien Court.

In the City of Fredericksburg, Lafayette Boulevard will have a right lane closure from Monday to Thursday between Twin Lake Drive and St. Pauls Drive. Two-lane traffic will be maintained by slightly shifting vehicles traveling south into a dual turn lane.

Gloucester County's Route 17 will see alternating lane closures for pavement marker installation from Monday to Friday, between the southern Main Street intersection and around a mile south of the Middlesex County line.

King George County's Route 218 (Caledon Road) will have flagging operations at the bridge over railroad tracks near Route 206 for repairs and inspection from Sunday to Thursday during specified hours.

King William County's Route 360 Eastbound (Richmond/Tappahannock Highway) is scheduled for bridge repairs with alternating lane closures on weekdays during designated times.

Lancaster County's Route 200 (Irvington Road) will experience alternating single lane closures to install a rectangular rapid flashing beacon at crosswalks from Monday to Friday during specified hours.

Several other counties including Mathews, Middlesex, Northumberland, Richmond, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Westmoreland are also set for various roadworks ranging from patching work to guardrail installations throughout the week.

Additional ongoing projects include bridge replacements in Caroline County on Route 638 (South River Road), intersection improvements in Fredericksburg City on Route 1 at Fall Hill Avenue/Princess Anne Street/Hanson Avenue intersections expected by June 2026;
