The Fredericksburg District has announced a series of traffic alterations and construction projects for the week of February 9-15, 2025. These changes are expected to impact several major routes across multiple counties.

On Interstate 95 Southbound, between Exit 136 (Centreport Parkway) and Exit 133 (Falmouth/Warrenton), there will be mobile single lane and shoulder closures from Sunday to Monday between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. for overhead sign structure inspections.

In Gloucester County, Route 17 will experience alternating lane closures from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for pavement marker installation. Similar work is scheduled on Route 33 during the same hours.

King George County's Route 218 (Caledon Road) will have flagging operations from Sunday to Thursday during specified times for bridge repairs over railroad tracks near Route 206. Additionally, Route 602 (Chapel Green Road) will see one-way alternating traffic managed by flagging crews throughout the week.

In King William County, bridge repairs on Route 360 Eastbound (Richmond/Tappahannock Highway) will cause alternating lane closures from Monday to Friday both during the day and overnight hours.

Spotsylvania County will see significant activity with construction related to road widening and safety improvements along various routes including Route 1, Southpoint Parkway, and Spotsylvania Parkway.

Stafford County's Route 1 Northbound and Southbound will have right lane closures due to fiber installation under permit from Monday through Friday between American Legion Road and other points.

Westmoreland County has planned pavement marking eradication along several routes with alternating lane closures set from Monday through Friday between specified hours.

Additional projects include bridge replacements in Caroline County on Route 638 (South River Road), intersection improvements in the City of Fredericksburg at Fall Hill Avenue, as well as bicycle and pedestrian connector project on Lafayette Boulevard.

The Falmouth Bridge emergency repair project continues with northbound right lane closure on Route 1 over the Rappahannock River. A vehicle weight limit is enforced here due to ongoing construction efforts aimed at addressing significant deterioration found in previous inspections.
