The Prizery welcomes Steinway Artist Thomas Pandolfi

The Prizery welcomes Steinway Artist Thomas Pandolfi back to its Chastain Theater on Thursday, September 29th at 7:30 pm for a virtuoso piano performance and concert.

Hailed a phenomenon and trained at The Julliard School, Pandolfi is an audience favorite who is recognized as one of the greatest interpreters of the Polish masters such as Chopin, Paderewski, and Godowsky. His original transcriptions of popular works such as "West Side Story" and "Phantom of the Opera" are one-of-a-kind, jaw-dropping, and dramatic encores that keep audiences of all ages returning to his performances again and again!

A versatile pianist who has sold out prestigious stages such as the Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Strathmore, The Kennedy Center, Kiev Opera House, Bucharest's Romanian Athenaeum, London's Cadogan, and many others, Pandolfi was a young prodigy who was mentored by legendary composer Morton Gould, and even caught the influential ear of Vladamir Horowitz.

Pandolfi has received accolades from everything from Bach to Gershwin, with Morton Gould saying, "It's the finest performance of Gershwin I have heard since the composer himself." DC Metro Art calls him, "exhilarating... a rare mix of technical accuracy and cool confidence." The Asheville Citizen-Times said, "A standout among today's young pianists... His virtuosity and strength...might have had some believing that Liszt himself had taken over the keyboard."

Tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for seniors, students, and military. Tickets may be purchased at www.prizery.org/tickets, by calling 434-572-8339, or by visiting the The Prizery between 10 am and 4 pm Monday - Friday at 700 Bruce Street.
