Library to Host Santa for Drive-Through Christmas for Area Children on December 9

26

Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism recently issued the following announcement.

LIBRARY TO HOST SANTA FOR DRIVE-THROUGH CHRISTMAS FOR AREA CHILDREN

December 9 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Clifton Forge Public Library Director Mike Barnes is pleased to announce that he and Santa Claus have finalized plans for Santa’s visit to the library.  Santa and one of his elves are coming on a special mission – to distribute gift bags to area children ages 3-12.

Santa and his elf will be in the library parking lot on Thursday, December 9, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.

Parents or legal guardians are asked to drive to the parking lot side of the building and to remain inside their vehicles.   Santa’s elf will assist him in handing out Christmas bags to the children.

As the number of gift bags is limited for this special drive-through event, parents must phone the library to sign up their children.  Participants do not have to be a member of the library.  Parents are encouraged to phone early as registration will stop when the total number of gift bags is reached.

To register your children, phone the library at 863-2519.

The library is located at 535 Church Street.
