Speak Up! is the theme of Bryan Griffin's latest commentary on WMAC/Northeast Public Radio which discusses freedom of speech and censorship.

He claims censorship from big tech companies has removed President Trump's existence in the online world. He says big tech companies censored Parler because it did not regulate the content  on its site.

Parler was a platform used by many conservatives to freely share opinions.

“If this can happen to conservatives today, it can happen to you tomorrow,” Griffin wrote.

He further stated, “And now, these technology and media giants, encouraged by Washington, fell to the worst censorship impulses almost in unison. If censorship becomes the accepted response to political disagreement in the minds and hearts of Americans, we will forfeit both our character and our greatness. This silencing should shock the conscience.”

For Griffin, if these actions continue, and ideas and opinions will be policed by those in power, America's concept of free speech will end.

If one believes in free speech, opinions from every perspective should be heard.

Silencing people, silencing parties opposing one's idea, is - a bad idea.

Letting people on your side speak and silencing those on the other side of the fence demonstrates double standard. Griffin describes it as "mind-numbing."
