FOIA Request to Prince William County Regarding Comprehensive Voter Information Related to Absentee Ballots for the November 5, 2024 General Election was sent on September 25, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Old Dominion News have requested specific records under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. The request is focused on obtaining detailed information about ballots mailed for absentee, early voting, overseas, military and any others that were sent out to voters for the upcoming general election.
The fields being requested include Voter ID, Registration Date, DoB/Age, Full Name (First Name, Middle Name, Last Name and Suffix), Registration Status and Reason, County and Precinct details. We are also seeking information about voter's contact details including Address, City, State, Phone number and Email Address. Additionally, Party Affiliation and Absentee Status are also part of our request.
We are particularly interested in obtaining detailed data about each ballot including Ballot ID, Election Date for ballots sent out to voters as well as Request Type (Absentee, Mail-In, Early Voting etc.). Other specifics such as Ballot Request Date, Send date and Return date along with the status of each ballot (Accepted or Rejected) have also been included in our request.
