Ferrum College Athletics issued the following announcement on Jan. 29
Ferrum College's women's basketball team dropped an ODAC home game against Randolph-Macon this afternoon, falling 67-47 at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
The Panthers took a 9-6 lead after a Kayla Cabiness layup and held onto that lead for the entire first quarter. DeMeshia Canada extended the lead to nine after a jumper in the paint made it 19-10. Ferrum led 24-20 after the first quarter came to an end.
Randolph-Macon outscored Ferrum 34-9 over the second and third quarters. Holding the Panthers to under 20% from the field and forcing eight turnovers. An Aimee DeBell jumper would give the Yellow Jackets the lead for the rest of the game.
Ferrum edged RMC 14-13 in the fourth stanza, with Cabiness tallying 6 of her 13 points in the quarter. Sheridan Hatfield led the Yellow Jackets with a game high 16 points.
