The second half of 2020: Home prices in Poquoson increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Poquoson rose by $35,250 while total sales increased by 12.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 116 homes sold, with a median sale price of $325,250 - a 12.2% increase over the $290,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 103 homes sold in Poquoson in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Poquoson for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,392, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
