Poquoson home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Poquoson fell by $3,600 while total sales increased by 13.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 95 homes sold, with a median sale price of $281,400 - a 1.3% decrease over the $285,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 84 homes sold in Poquoson in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Poquoson for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,392, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
