Congressman Rob Wittman met with the winners of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for Virginia’s First District on Apr. 23. The winning team, made up of Deep Run High School students Faribah Nuha, Jay Chauhan, Obaloluwa Ogunade, and Jack Gardner from Glen Allen, Virginia, developed an app called TroopCompanion.

The Congressional App Challenge allows middle and high school students nationwide to compete by creating apps for mobile devices or computers.
“It was an honor to meet Faribah Nuha, Jay Chauhan, Obaloluwa Ogunade, and Jack Gardner and learn more about their winning app,” said Congressman Wittman. “Their innovation, dedication, and commitment to serving others are truly impressive, and I was proud to celebrate their achievements here in our nation’s capital.”
