Williamsburg man dies in motorcycle crash on April 27

A Williamsburg man died after a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Treyburn Drive and Chambrel Way, James City County Police said on April 27. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 5:44 p.m. and found an adult male in the roadway following the incident.

The man, identified as a 68-year-old resident of Williamsburg, was transported to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

According to police, preliminary investigation by the James City County Police Crash Team showed that the rider was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred. The incident is believed to have involved only one vehicle.

Police did not release additional details about what may have caused the accident. The investigation remains ongoing.
