William & Mary women’s tennis will compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship semifinals on April 18, facing either Charleston or Campbell at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts.

The matchup is important as it determines which team advances to the CAA Championship final, with William & Mary seeking another conference title. The Tribe enters postseason play with a 13–6 overall record and a strong 6–1 performance in conference matches. Their only loss in the CAA came against top-seeded Elon.

Throughout the spring season, William & Mary has shown depth across its lineup. Francesca Davis leads singles play with a 15–3 record, while Rebeka Svabikova follows closely at 14–4. Mira Kernagis and Alexia Gonzalez-Galino have also contributed significantly. In doubles, Emma Pell and Yaelle Vaissaud have posted an impressive 14–1 mark, including an active streak of eleven straight wins.

Charleston comes into the tournament after finishing its regular season with two consecutive victories and holds a 15–7 overall record. The Cougars’ doubles teams have been particularly effective this year. Meanwhile, Campbell brings a 6–13 overall record into championship play but has seen consistent performances from Ilouna Aneca and Mollie Garcia in singles competition.

Historically, William & Mary has been one of the most successful programs in conference history. The team has been seeded first or second in all but four of the last twenty-eight championships and owns eleven titles as a No.2 seed—including recent wins from that position in both 2022 and 2024. Overall, William & Mary has claimed twenty-nine out of forty possible CAA women’s tennis championships since league records began tracking team results under their current format in 1995.

The winner of Saturday’s semifinal will advance to Sunday’s championship match against either Elon or one of their other conference rivals.
