William & Mary lost to Charleston by a score of 4-0 in the series finale at Plumeri Park on April 19. Both teams finished with six hits, but William & Mary was unable to convert its opportunities into runs.

The outcome marks another setback for William & Mary, which now holds a record of 16-22 overall and 7-11 in Colonial Athletic Association play. The team had chances to rally in the fourth and fifth innings, putting two runners on base each time, but could not sustain momentum. Two runners were caught stealing and defensive errors also hampered their efforts.

Charlie Iriotakis led William & Mary’s offense by going 2-for-3 with a walk, while Matthew Kosuda added two hits in four at-bats. On the mound, Noah Hertzler delivered two scoreless innings out of the bullpen and recorded a career-high five strikeouts. Jack Weight also pitched two shutout innings with four strikeouts.

Charleston’s Dylan Johnson contributed offensively by going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Kaden Myers earned the win for Charleston after pitching five scoreless innings in relief. Jack Pye took the loss for William & Mary.

Looking ahead, William & Mary is scheduled to visit Richmond on Tuesday at Pitt Field with first pitch set for 2 p.m.
