Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) plans to close Route 629, also known as West Quaker Road, between Route 156 (Prince George Drive) and Route 460 (County Drive) in Prince George County. The closure is scheduled for emergency pavement repairs on June 12 and June 13 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The road will reopen each evening.

During the daytime closures, traffic will be rerouted via detours along Route 156 and Route 460. Westbound motorists should travel south on Route 156 to reach Route 460, then turn right onto Route 460 to continue west back to Route 629. Eastbound drivers are advised to head east on Route 460, then turn left onto Route 156 and proceed north to return to West Quaker Road.

For further information or inquiries about the project, individuals can contact VDOT’s customer service center at the number provided: “800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).”
