The Virginia Department of Transportation announced on March 20 that eastbound Washington Boulevard (Route 237) over Interstate 66 near the East Falls Church Metrorail station will have daytime lane closures from Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27. The closures will take place each day between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting, to allow for bridge repair work.
The planned lane closures are expected to affect traffic flow in the area during these hours. The department said drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones and be alert to new traffic patterns while limiting distractions.
