Walker Road flagging operation scheduled for May weekend

Weather permitting, Walker Road in Great Falls will undergo a flagging operation on May 17 and 18. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, this operation will affect the section between Park Royal Drive and Walker Mill Road. Traffic will be limited to one lane with alternating flow during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The work is part of the Walker Road over Piney Run bridge replacement project, which is expected to conclude by late 2025. Drivers should anticipate delays and are advised to consider alternate routes.
