Virginia Tech Athletics announced on Apr. 28 that it will offer themed group ticket packages for the 2026 football season at Lane Stadium.

The new offerings aim to give fans a variety of ways to participate in gameday events, with discounted tickets available for groups of ten or more. The announcement comes as excitement grows around the arrival of head coach James Franklin, who will lead the Hokies for his first season in Blacksburg.

Fans can expect themed gamedays featuring special moments and exclusive experiences designed for different groups, including youth organizations, educators, military members, and local community groups. Virginia Tech Athletics said these options are intended to allow everyone an opportunity to celebrate together at Lane Stadium.

Other ticket packages such as the 540 Zone season tickets, Fan 4-Packs, and single-game tickets will be released in stages: current Hokie Scholarship Fund donors (as of March 1, 2026) can purchase beginning Tuesday, May 5; digital subscribers who have downloaded the HokieSports mobile app and created a profile can buy starting Wednesday, May 6; and sales open to the general public on Thursday, May 7. All offers are subject to availability and are expected to sell out quickly.

A schedule listing group themes includes Marching Virginians for a Day and Youth Sports Day against VMI on Sept. 5; State Employee Offer (VDRHM), Faith & Family/FCA night, and Corps of Cadets Homecoming versus Old Dominion on Sept.12; Healthcare Appreciation and Local College Night against Pitt on Oct.2; Educators Appreciation plus Scouts & 4-H Day facing Georgia Tech on Oct.17; FFA Day along with Local Chamber of Commerce Day when hosting Stanford Nov.14; Virginia Tech Faculty & Staff Appreciation as well as Veterans Day also during that game; and “Our State!” family day during the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash against Virginia Nov.28.

Additional game themes may be announced later this year. Fans interested in updates are encouraged by Virginia Tech Athletics to join its email list.
