Kristen Skiera and the Virginia Tech lacrosse team announced on June 2 the signing of two transfer players for the upcoming season: Ave Menna from Liberty and Kendall Wilson from Campbell.
Menna played three seasons at Liberty, appearing in 50 games with 31 starts. Over her career, she recorded 276 draw controls, caused 25 turnovers, collected 14 ground balls, and contributed two assists. In the 2026 season, Menna started in 11 of 16 games and ranked fourth in the ASUN conference for draw controls with an average of 5.56 per game.
During her sophomore year, Menna set a mark with 174 draws—the second-highest single-season total in Liberty’s program history—and her career total also ranks second all-time at Liberty. She has twice received the CUSA Commissioner’s Academic Medal and was named to the ASUN All-Conference Second Team in 2025.
Wilson joins Virginia Tech after being named to the All-CAA Second Team in 2026. She started all 17 games on defense last season and ranked sixteenth nationally among Division I players with an average of 2.41 caused turnovers per game. For that season, she totaled 41 caused turnovers, secured 30 ground balls, and had 42 draw controls.
As a freshman at Campbell, Wilson was selected for the CAA All-Rookie Team after playing in fifteen games where she gathered thirty ground balls and caused sixteen turnovers.
