Small business owners from Virginia recently participated in the 2025 NFIB Fly-In in Washington, D.C., joining fellow NFIB members from across the nation. During their visit, they engaged with lawmakers and staff to address significant issues impacting Main Street businesses.

Participants had the opportunity to hear from House Speaker Mike Johnson. They also met with various members of Congress and key staffers, emphasizing the importance of making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.

Virginia’s delegation held a productive meeting with Representative Rob Wittman. They also expressed their concerns to staff representatives for Senator Tim Kaine, Representative Jennifer McClellan, and Representative Eugene Vindman.

“These one-on-one conversations are important,” stated NFIB State Director Julia Hammond. “Our members made sure the voices of Virginia’s small businesses were heard on Capitol Hill.”
