On Sunday, April 6, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close Route 644 (Rock Hill Church Road) near Route 671 (Van Horn Lane) in Stafford County. This overnight closure is part of a pipe replacement project.

The road is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Monday, April 7. Crews will return at 9 a.m. to apply fresh asphalt during daytime hours. Traffic will be managed with one-way alternating flow directed by flagging personnel. The work schedule is subject to weather conditions.

During the closure from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., drivers will follow a detour approximately ten miles long using Route 644 (Rock Hill Church Road), Route 610 (Garrisonville Road), Route 643 (Joshua Road), and Route 627 (Mountain View Road).

Crews are set to replace a drainage pipe beneath Rock Hill Church Road.
