Virginia DOT announces road closure for pipe replacement in Lawrenceville

Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close a section of Route 641 (Bright Leaf Road) in Lawrenceville for a crossline pipe replacement project. The closure will occur between Route 606 (Planters Road) and Route 642 (Poorhouse Road) on Monday, June 23, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Homeowners will retain access to their properties during the operation. VDOT has provided detour routes for motorists affected by the closure.

For eastbound traffic: From Route 641 (Bright Leaf Road), take Route 606 (Planters Road) west, proceed to Route 750 (Lawrenceville Plank Road) south, then to Route 642 (Poorhouse Road) north, returning to Route 641 (Bright Leaf Road).

For westbound traffic: From Route 641 (Bright Leaf Road), take Route 642 (Poorhouse Road) south, proceed to Route 750 (Lawrenceville Plank Road) north, then to Route 606 (Planters Road) east, returning to Route 641 (Bright Leaf Road).
