The University of Virginia announced on April 29 that the scheduled baseball game between Virginia and Norfolk State has been canceled because of forecasted inclement weather. The game will not be rescheduled, according to the announcement.

The cancellation affects fans who had planned to attend the matchup. All ticket holders for the April 29 game who purchased their tickets from the Virginia Athletics department can exchange them for any remaining regular season home game in the 2026 season, depending on availability. The exchanges are one-time only and must be completed online through UVAtix.com before the first pitch of each eligible game.

Looking ahead, Virginia is set to return to action on Sunday, May 3, with a doubleheader at home against Radford. The first game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start, with the second beginning approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the opener. Both games will be broadcast on ACCNX and WINA (98.9/1070 AM).

No additional background information or context about previous cancellations or series history was provided in this announcement.

The team encourages fans holding tickets for Wednesday’s canceled contest to use their exchange opportunity as outlined by Virginia Athletics.
