Virginia athletics announced its theme dates for the 2026 football season on May 26. The Cavaliers are scheduled to host six games at Scott Stadium, starting with the home opener against Norfolk State on Friday, Sept. 11.
The list of themed events begins with ‘Paint the Town Orange’ and a call for fans to wear orange during the game against Norfolk State. On Saturday, Sept. 26, Virginia will face Delaware with a ‘UVA Strong’ theme. The Oct. 10 matchup against Syracuse will coincide with Homecomings and Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives.
Family Weekend is set for Friday, Oct. 23, when Virginia hosts Duke. Heroes Appreciation Day will take place during the Nov. 14 game against Cal, while Senior Day is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21, as the Cavaliers play North Carolina.
Season-ticket deposits are now available through UVAtix.com and allow fans to secure tickets at what organizers describe as the lowest price per game. Deposits are non-refundable and count toward the total balance due; deposit holders will be contacted by UVA ticket staff in priority point order in coming weeks for further arrangements.
Premium tailgating options continue this year through a partnership between Virginia Athletics and REVELxp at O-Hill Field near Scott Stadium. These packages include full equipment setup and breakdown, optional food and beverage services, entertainment options, and can be reserved either for single games or full season packages.
