The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has changed the traffic pattern at the intersection of Route 605 (Dumfries Road) and Route 603 (Greenwich Road) in Fauquier County. The intersection, which was previously a two-way stop, now operates as a four-way stop.

According to VDOT, crews have installed new stop signs, “All Way” plaques, and pavement markings to make the change clear to drivers. All motorists approaching the intersection are now required to come to a complete stop before proceeding.

Drivers are advised to use caution while traveling through the area and be aware of other vehicles as they adjust to the new traffic pattern. “Motorists approaching the intersection from all directions must now come to a complete stop before proceeding. Drivers are encouraged to use caution, watch for pavement markings, and be alert to other vehicles adjusting to the new traffic pattern,” VDOT stated.
