The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has released its weekly traffic alert for the Culpeper District, covering scheduled construction and maintenance work from December 15 to 19, 2025. The agency emphasizes that the listed dates and times indicate when work is planned, but not necessarily when it will be completed. All activities are subject to weather conditions.

District-wide operations will include bridge and guardrail maintenance, brush and tree cutting, pothole repairs, surface and shoulder repairs, paving operations, mowing, drainage work, and roadside cleanup.

VDOT encourages drivers to stay informed about live traffic conditions and ongoing roadwork by visiting the 511 Virginia website or by downloading the free VDOT 511 Virginia Traffic app for mobile devices. Motorists can also sign up for personalized traffic alerts and access real-time traffic cameras through the same platform.

For information on major projects in the district, residents can visit the Culpeper District’s major projects page. Additional resources such as a paving status map and details about Virginia roads are also available online.

VDOT provides updates through social media channels including X at @VaDOTCULP and on Facebook via the VDOT Culpeper District group.

“Drivers can also sign up to receive personalized traffic alerts and view traffic cameras at 511 Virginia.”
