Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) plans to close a section of Route 2838, also known as Fox Run Road, in Chesterfield for a pipe replacement project. The closure is scheduled to take place near 9342 Fox Run Road on Thursday, April 17, from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Homeowners will still have access to their properties during the operation.
Motorists are advised to follow these detours:
For northbound traffic: Travel west on Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive), north to Route 2839 (Edington Drive), east to Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive), and then south to Route 2838 (Fox Run Drive).
For southbound traffic: Travel north on Route 2838 (Fox Run Drive), west to Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive), south to Route 2839 (Edington Drive), and east back to Route 2750 (Sara Kay Drive).
