VCU baseball announced on Apr. 30 that it has changed its Atlantic 10 weekend schedule against Saint Louis at The Diamond because of expected weather in the Richmond area on Saturday.

The adjustment is intended to ensure all games can be played safely and without interruption. Weather conditions are a common reason for college baseball teams to modify their schedules, especially during the spring season.

The revised schedule now features a doubleheader on Friday, with the first game starting at 10:30 a.m. and the second game beginning about 45 minutes after the first ends. Both games will be free for fans to attend. There will be no game held on Saturday.

Additionally, Sunday’s series finale has been moved up, with first pitch now scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on May 3.

These changes aim to accommodate both teams and spectators while addressing potential weather disruptions over the weekend.
