The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia announced on May 4 that registration is now open for the Twelfth Annual Western District of Virginia Bankruptcy Conference, which will take place in person on May 29 at Roanoke College’s Wortman Ballroom in the Colket Center in Salem, Virginia. The conference is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. and conclude at 4:40 p.m.

The event offers an opportunity for legal professionals to earn continuing legal education credit, with approval from the Virginia State Bar for six hours of CLE credit, including one hour dedicated to ethics. Attendees can also participate in a buffet lunch offered at $12.50 per person in the cafeteria located within the Colket Center.

To register, individuals are instructed to email vawb_conference@vawb.uscourts.gov and include names and email addresses for all registrants as well as indicate how many will attend the buffet lunch. The court requests that registrations be submitted by May 15 so organizers can plan appropriately for lunch accommodations.

Those requiring special assistance such as ADA accommodations or allergy considerations are asked to notify cgriessmayer@ch13wdva.com at least ten working days before the event. For additional questions regarding the conference, attendees may contact Jim Reynolds at james_reynolds@vawb.uscourts.gov.

The annual conference serves as a key educational event for bankruptcy practitioners in western Virginia and provides networking opportunities alongside professional development.
