Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) plans to close a section of Route 650, known as Turner Road, in Chesterfield County for maintenance work. The affected area is between Route 2289 (Belfair Drive) and Route 651 (Belmont Road). The closure is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The project involves pipe replacement and ditch work. Homeowners will still have access to their properties during this time.
For motorists affected by the closure, VDOT has provided a detour route. Northbound drivers should travel east on Route 651 (Belmont Road), north on Route 2290 (Belrun Road), and then west on Route 2289 (Belfair Drive) back to Turner Road. Southbound drivers should go east on Route 2289 (Belfair Drive), south on Route 2290 (Belrun Road), and west on Route 651 (Belmont Road) back to Turner Road.
