Traffic movements may be restricted, and speed limits could be reduced in designated work zones.
In Albemarle County, tree trimming will cause lane and shoulder closures on Interstate 64 between mile markers 100 and 124 eastbound through Friday. Bridge inspections are set for various routes on Thursday, with alternating lane closures expected. Roadway improvements will lead to nightly lane closures on U.S. 29 and other routes throughout the week.
Culpeper County will see right shoulder closures on U.S. 29 due to traffic engineering projects. Utility work under VDOT permits will result in lane and shoulder closures on U.S. 522 among other roads.
Fauquier County is scheduled for soil borings that will require nightly lane and shoulder closures on U.S. 29 (Lee Highway). Roadway improvements and paving projects are also planned with daily alternating lane closures expected.
In Fluvanna County, bridge inspections will occur with alternating lane closures scheduled from Monday through Wednesday. Paving operations will also take place throughout the week.
Greene County’s schedule includes a bridge inspection on U.S. 29 (Seminole Trail) set for Thursday, along with traffic engineering projects leading to closed shoulders on U.S. 33 (Spotswood Trail).
Louisa County’s plans involve bridge inspections with alternating lane closures anticipated on Friday. Ongoing utility work under VDOT permits continues with related lane and shoulder restrictions.
Orange County is preparing for roadway improvements as part of roundabout construction efforts that will cause daily alternating lane closures.
Rappahannock County’s schedule features shoulder repairs on U.S. 211 (Lee Highway), requiring flaggers to manage alternating lane closures early in the week.
