The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced the removal of the traffic signal at the intersection of Brady Lane (Route 848) and Cushing Road (Route 781) in Manassas. This change is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., as a result of altered traffic patterns following the realignment of Balls Ford Road (Route 621).

During the removal process, drivers should anticipate single-lane closures at the intersection within the specified time frame.

The affected signal is located just east of what was previously known as the Balls Ford Road and Prince William Parkway (Route 234) intersection. In 2023, Balls Ford Road underwent a realignment further south, resulting in an interchange. The section east of Prince William Parkway was renamed Brady Lane and no longer intersects with the parkway.

Once removed, traffic at this intersection will be regulated by a stop sign for vehicles turning from Cushing Road onto Brady Lane.
