All lanes of Interstate 95 southbound have reopened at mile marker 108 in Caroline County following an earlier crash, according to updates as of 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Motorists are advised to expect delays as congestion clears the area.

Earlier updates from 9:50 a.m. indicated that two lanes had reopened at the crash site involving a tractor-trailer and a vehicle, with one lane remaining closed. The incident occurred approximately two miles south of exit 110 (Ladysmith), with congestion beginning around five miles before the scene. Access to the I-95 Southbound Ladysmith Safety Rest Area remained open during this time.

The Virginia Department of Transportation reported that traffic signal timing along Route 1 was being adjusted to manage increased southbound traffic in the Fredericksburg area. Travelers were advised to anticipate delays and heavy congestion approaching the crash scene.
