A temporary traffic signal will be installed on Route 839, known as Atkinson Hollow Road, in Bedford County starting Tuesday, May 27. This measure is part of a project to replace a culvert located four miles northeast of Stewartsville and approximately 0.4 mile north of Route 619 (Jordantown Road).

Drivers should anticipate delays lasting until late July, depending on weather conditions. The temporary signal will operate continuously to manage traffic flow by allowing vehicles to alternate using the single open lane during the culvert replacement process. Additionally, there will be an 11-foot width restriction in place until the signal is removed.
