The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced scheduled highway work in the Culpeper District for the week of February 24-28, 2025. Weather permitting, traffic may face restrictions and reduced speed limits in various work zones.

In Albemarle County, new sign installations will lead to alternating lane closures on Route 20 from Monday through Friday. Utility work under VDOT permits will cause lane and shoulder closures on several routes, including Interstate 64 and U.S. 29. Additionally, pothole patching and brush removal are planned on Interstate 64 between mile markers 100 and 131.

Culpeper County will see soil borings with lane and shoulder closures on U.S. 15 throughout the week. Construction activities will also affect lanes on U.S. 15 in multiple areas. Utility work is expected to impact traffic flow with lane closures on several routes.

In Fauquier County, utility work continues under VDOT permits, affecting lanes along U.S. 15 and other roads. Roadway improvements are planned for U.S. 17 Business, causing alternating lane closures.

Fluvanna County’s Route 600 will undergo resurfacing with mobile lane closures daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., while Greene County’s U.S. 33 will have similar resurfacing efforts during the same hours.

Louisa County’s Interstate 64 is scheduled for pothole patching and brush removal between mile markers 131 and 148 throughout the week.

Madison County faces signal repairs leading to mobile lane closures along U.S. Routes in both directions daily from Monday through Friday.

Orange County utility work under VDOT permits will cause alternating lane closures on U.S. Routes starting Tuesday.

Rappahannock County plans ditch cleaning along U.S. Highway with right shoulder closures expected from Tuesday through Friday.
