Thirteen members of the Virginia Tech indoor track and field team were named to the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All-Academic Team, according to an April 24 announcement by the conference.
To qualify for this recognition, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 over the previous two semesters and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for their academic career. Nominees are required to be enrolled at their institution for at least one year as undergraduates and must have competed in either the ACC Championships or NCAA Championships.
Among those honored was Katie Bohlke, who won bronze in the women’s 3000 meters at the ACC Championships with a time of 8:56.82 and set a program record in that event earlier in the season. Katrin Brzyszkowska captured her first ACC title with a personal-best shot put throw of 17.00 meters, marking a strong finish to her season.
Other honorees include Linus Chepkochei, who recorded a personal-best time in the men’s 5K; Ryan Chevalier, who moved into eighth place on Virginia Tech’s all-time list for his performance in the men’s 3000 meters; Dylan DeCambre, who helped lead his relay team to third place nationally; Jack Helmich, who contributed points in pole vault; Roan Kelly, who aided his relay team’s fifth-place finish; Nate Paris, earning All-American honors again in heptathlon while defending school records; Nick Plant, recognized as Men’s Indoor Track Performer of the Week after several top finishes; and Chiara Sistermann, securing First Team All-ACC honors for pole vaulting.
The full list also includes Ethan Coleman, Cameron Davis, Sophia Holgado—each recognized for their academic achievements alongside athletic contributions during this season.
This recognition highlights both academic dedication and athletic achievement among Virginia Tech’s track and field athletes as they continue balancing rigorous coursework with competition.
