Taylor Road in Chesterfield County to close April 14 for pipe replacement project

The Virginia Department of Transportation announced on April 8 that a section of Route 646 (Taylor Road) in Chesterfield County will be closed for a pipe replacement project on Tuesday, April 14, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. The closure will affect the area between Route 603 (Beaver Bridge Road) and Route 602 (River Road), specifically at the 12300 block of Taylor Road.

The closure is expected to impact local traffic, but homeowners will still have access to their properties. The Taylor Road Landfill will also remain accessible from the north end of Taylor Road during the work period. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour routes: northbound traffic should travel east on River Road, north on Route 664 (Coalboro Road), and west on Beaver Bridge Road; southbound traffic should travel east on Beaver Bridge Road, south on Coalboro Road, and west on River Road.
