The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced plans to close sections of Route 2088, also known as Tall Pine Road, in Chesterfield for a crossline pipe replacement project. The closures are scheduled to occur near the addresses 5400 Tall Pine Road and at the intersection with Old Bailey Bridge Road. This work is planned for Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Homeowners along these sections will still have access to their properties during the construction period.

Motorists traveling northbound on Route 2088 should detour south on Tall Pine Road, continue north on Route 768 (Old Bailey Bridge Road), proceed north to Route 654 (Bailey Bridge Road), and head west to Route 4360 (Timber Trail Drive).

For those heading southbound, the suggested detour is to travel north on Tall Pine Road, then east to Route 4360 (Timber Trail Drive), south to Route 654 (Bailey Bridge Road), further south to Route 768 (Old Bailey Bridge Road), and finally north back onto Tall Pine Road.

For additional information or questions about this project, individuals can contact VDOT’s customer service center at the phone number: 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
