William & Mary women’s tennis freshman Rebeka Svabikova was named the Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Year, according to a May 1 announcement from the league. The team earned a total of six All-CAA honors for its performance this season.

The recognition highlights William & Mary’s strong showing in conference play and individual achievements throughout the spring. The team finished with a 14-7 overall record, placed second in the regular-season standings, and reached the CAA Women’s Tennis Championship match for an eleventh consecutive year.

Junior Francesca Davis received All-CAA First Team Singles honors after leading her team with 26 singles victories. Davis went undefeated in conference singles matches and has become one of the program’s top players, ranking sixth all-time in career singles winning percentage at .739 with a record of 68-24. She also ranks thirteenth in doubles winning percentage with an identical record.

Senior Sia Chaudry was selected to the All-CAA Second Team Singles after securing fourteen singles wins while playing at the top spot for William & Mary. Sophomore Mira Kernagis earned her first all-conference singles recognition on the Third Team following a standout season that included twenty-two overall wins and fifteen dual-match victories.

In doubles competition, Davis teamed up with freshman Tilda Larsson to earn Second Team Doubles honors after achieving an 18-9 overall record together. Kernagis partnered with freshman Alexia Gonzalez-Galino for another Second Team Doubles selection; they combined for sixteen wins during their campaign.

The six all-conference awards reflect William & Mary’s continued success within its league as it advanced to yet another championship match.
