The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has announced plans to close a section of Route 675 (Auburn Mill Road) in Hanover County for a pipe replacement project. The closure is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. The affected section is between Route 611 (Saint Peters Church Road) and Route 670 (Stone Horse Creek Road).
Homeowners in the area will maintain access to their properties during the duration of the work. For motorists, VDOT has provided a detour route. Northbound travelers should use Route 611 (Saint Peters Church Road), then proceed to Route 673 (Howards Mill Road) south, and then to Route 670 (Stone Horse Creek Road) east back to Route 675 (Auburn Mill Road). Conversely, southbound traffic should start on Route 670 (Stone Horse Creek Road), head to Route 673 (Howards Mill Road) north, and then to Route 611 (Saint Peters Church Road) before returning to Route 675 (Auburn Mill Road).
For any inquiries about the project, VDOT encourages individuals to contact their customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623). Up-to-date traffic information can also be accessed via 511Virginia at 511.vdot.virginia.gov or through the 511Virginia mobile app.
